Burlesque performers around the country are hard at work perfecting their routines for Australia’s first world class competition in the genre, Miss Burlesque Australia.
Out of hundreds of applicants, 60 finalists have been selected to compete at State Heats across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Hobart, all with the aim of being crowned Miss Burlesque in their state, and ultimately, Miss Burlesque Australia, plus a prize pool worth over $10,000 AUD including a return trip to Paris, cash, costumes and more.
During July, State Heats will be held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Hobart. Each city will see 10 finalists compete for the State Title in their State, and the winner and 1st Runner-Up will be flown to Sydney for the Grand Final in August.
